  •                       Night shift creativity.

    At about 2:30am, (while watching Jeopardy), I managed to find a few moments to actually do some  drawing. Here are a couple of my sketches….

       Wonder Woman

    Cheerleader and Wrestler.

    Well, must get back to animating Santa and his reindeer. Christmas isn’t to far off now, but I’m sick of it already.

  •                              Christmas in July.

    It seems weird to be working on a Christmas themed job at this time of the year, but I guess when you want the product out for December, this is when you will be doing it.

    A client of mine, “Youngstars”, is making their play, “The Wizard of Oz Show” into a dvd. I have previously completed the opening titles, but now they are doing “The Wizard of Oz Christmas Show”. This requires me to alter the existing titles with a Xmas feel.

    The Xmas tree, (left), is appearing in the opening title sequence of “The Wizard of Oz Christmas show” dvd, as well as having a speaking roll in a few scenes.

  • So much work so little time.

    This month has been incredibly busy, (a nice change  ), but there seems to be no end in sight. Every time I finish one job, two more crop up. I don’t even have time to do Blog entries! Since it is late at night and my warm bed, (and wife) are calling I shall do one quick post;

    This is a newspaper add I did a few weeks ago. I supplied the artwork while another person was adding the info of two different companies on either side, (final add not shown here).

    Hopefully I’ll find some time to keep you up to date with the other jobs I’m currently doing in the near future.

  • Delivered to your door.

    In yesterday’s mail I received an envelope from my local council containing information on their annual clean up service and recycling pick up. To my surprise I was confronted by Wil .B. Wise, a character that I had created for Forte, (the graphics department of Wollongong council). I based this character on a series of short cartoons I watched as a child, called “Le Lin” (I think?). Wil .B. now has about eight 15 second TVCs, (which I animated), ten comic style print adds and is featured in numerous pamphlets, (I supply Forte with the images and their talented graphics team take care of the layout and text).

    Just added “medical gallery” to my protfolio links.

    The following images are © Community Services, Health, Tourism and Recreation Curriculum Centre TAFE NSW.

    I have done a lot of work for North Wollongong TAFE, (Technical And Further Education), most of which is Flash based animation, but there are also many illustrations. This first group is from a text book entitled “Senior First Aid”….

    Facilitator.               Glossary.                     Forum.                            Help.

    As well as having some fun images there is also the nitty gritty, diagrammatical stuff ….

  • Badagascar

    The best part was the free tickets so I did not have to pay. Yay! Also saw “Mr and Mrs Smith”, (not the worst movie I saw today). My wife and I enjoyed this movie as we, (like the main characters), are in our 5th year of marriage and we too would like to hunt each other down with machine guns at times.

    Here’s a pic from a recently conceived series idea that I’m currently developing …

    The only thing I’m going to say about this new series is … Old school mini.

    Currently enjoying;

    Happy Japanese Crap!

    Mixed CD compiled by a good friend. (Many thanks!)
